What is it?
Online voting is the trend of the future that will become mainstream in the coming years. It allows a citizen, customer or member and ultimately everybody to participate in an election or opinion poll in a simple and very secure manner from their mobile phone, tablet, or from their PC. It is closely related to electronic voting (e-voting) but it goes further in that it does not require particularly assigned venues, means and equipment, people and networks, but utilizes existing infrastructure such as your mobile phone and the public Internet.
Is it secure?
It is very secure. It uses ways and methods similar to those used by banks to ensure privacy and prevent any unauthorized actions. If this level of security is good enough to ensure that our money is safe, it is certainly good enough for securing our choice!
Who can participate?
Anyone! The knowledge required is minimal and the system is simple and quick to use. If one knows how to write on a PC or how to operate a mobile phone, then she can vote.
And where do I vote?
At home, in the office, on the road … whenever and wherever as long as you have a computer or a smart device and an Internet connection.
How much does it cost?
Much less than conventionally organized events and so little that it makes it easier for a bit more direct democracy!
